Ocean Conservation

On Monday This lady Libby came into our class to teach as about the Ocean Conservation. I learnt so much things about the Ocean Conservation, like how long a manta ray is, what happens to plastic when it’s in the ocean… It was really interesting having Libby come talk to us.

Should Plastic bags be used at super markets?

Last week in Te Ngahere we did a  persuasive piece of writing about should plastic bags be used in super markets. Our WALT for this activity was to use the correct structure for a persuasive. I think I did really well on trying to make my ideas original in my writing.

18/10/17
Walt: Make my ideas original, so the reader can connect with them.
Should Plastic bags be used at supermarkets?

Plastic bags should not be sold at supermarkets because they are destroying our environment and killing our sea creatures and if this goes on for a very long time it might even kill all of our sea creatures.

Should plastic bags be used in supermarkets? No! They should not give out plastic bags for you to put your groceries in, they should use reusable bags in supermarkets. Why? Because they are spreading worldwide, and they are very hard to get rid of.

Plastic bags in up into our sea and start that's for fear on them. Why? Because we just let plastic fly away into the ocean and the sea creatures think it is food and they eat it and die.
Even our bird life is bad because when they go and find food for their young ones they pick up rubbish and feed it to them they eat it and when the mother bird keeps doing it the poison from the rubbish digest in the stomach and then they die, and when you split the stomach open there are big pieces of rubbish in them the only rubbish that digest in the bird.

When you put the plastic bags in the rubbish bin the the rubbish track takes it away and then the rubbish gets piled up and all the rubbish just lays there and all the plastic under it and in the middle can never be bernt or never disappearing it’s just gonna stay there for ever and soak into the soil.

Thanks for reading my should plastic bags be used at supermarkets, and I hope you learnt lots.
